|The MBA International Program at the Athens University of Economics and Business is a vibrant and innovative program that aspires to develop a new leadership style that combines analytical thinking and technological awareness, but also, personal skills and entrepreneurial spirit.
The international standing of the program and its adherence to standards of excellence in the curriculum, pedagogy, innovation, research and relations with industry is reflected in its accreditation by the Association of MBAs (AMBA) and its excellent positioning in international rankings. It’s also worth noting that the program was the recipient of the AMBA MBA Innovation Award 2013.
The MBA International is offered exclusively in English, and attracts students from more than 20 countries. Through a rich curriculum, structured on a unique learning model, the program fosters a new generation of management professionals, business executives and entrepreneurs. We believe there is no perfect method that applies to every student, but that methods must be adjusted to the specific needs of each participant. Therefore, the MBA curriculum offers a high degree of flexibility in building your own program that responds to your personality, skills, culture and attitude.
The program is offered in a full-time (duration: 14 months) and a part-time (duration: 24 months) mode. With 12 core courses on the fundamentals of management, and more than 30 elective courses, spread out in the key functional areas of an enterprise, the curriculum allows you to concentrate in the area of your choice. At the same time, the five majors offered (besides the general Business Administration track) give students the opportunity to gain knowledge into an area of interest, thus facilitating a career switch or developing an existing specialty. Majors are offered in:
The Personal Skills Development Program (PSDP), that allows students to improve their “soft-skills”, and the Immersion Project, that helps students immerse in a business environment, are two other important components of the program.
World Renowned Faculty
Our faculties hold doctoral degrees, have a wide international experience, and have been educated or taught at world renowned Business Schools (Wharton, INSEAD, Columbia, LBS, LSE, NYU and Fuqua School of Business). Faculty members engage in consulting to multinational corporations, governments and the European Union, and some hold or have held highly esteemed professional positions (as Ambassador to the OECD, Elector for the Nobel Prize in Economics, President of the European Marketing Academy, Chairman of a major consulting company, or Senior Advisor to the Olympic Games Organizing Committee).
On top of all that, our Career Office supports the program’s strategy of going global by offering a comprehensive range of services that include on-campus events, career fairs, online job and internship postings, and interviews and workshops with representatives from multi-national companies. These activities help build a network of companies and organizations interested in our top quality graduates and enhance the opportunities for international careers. It is no wonder that MBA International graduates are highly sought after in the employment market with 95% of them being offered a job within three months of graduation.
