Director Orange Grove
Anna-Maria Poullis has a Dutch-Greek background, was born and raised in the Netherlands and educated in the Netherlands and United States specializing in international business and marketing. With broad experience in marketing, business development and entrepreneurship she now is leading Orange Grove, an international startup center and unique and renowned initiative of the Netherlands Embassy in Athens.
Orange Grove, the flexible co-working space and network community for young entrepreneurs in Greece, is supported by Dutch-Greek businesses, charity foundations and universities as a way to promote entrepreneurship and innovation and contribute to addressing youth unemployment in Greece.Since its opening in September 2013, 142 entrepreneurs, representing 88 startups, have joined the special program, focusing on mentoring and coaching, networking, seminars, ‘bootcamps’ and a variety of legal, accounting and business support services. Each quarter the 2 best Orange Grove startups are awarded with 15.000€ and 10.000€ as pre-seed capital. Over the past 2 years, Orange Grove has received a great deal of media attention (e.g Financial Times, the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Bloomberg, Reuters, BBC, NPR) and has welcomed many international visitors and speakers from a variety of successful startup founders, international investors and business professionals, to European and national policy makers and the Dutch Royal Family.
